P. Megan Andrews
P. Megan Andrews, PhD, is a dance artist/scholar, movement educator, writer and the founding editor of Canada’s dance magazine The Dance Current. Megan has worked with many contemporary/experimental choreographers throughout her career and continues to develop her own movement projects. She regularly presents her research at academic conferences across North America and has been instrumental in the development of several Canadian dance organizations including the Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists and the Canadian Dance Assembly. Currently a sessional faculty in the School for Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University, Megan also works as Program Manager for the Dancer Transition Resource Centre’s BC Office. Founded in 1985, the DTRC is a national, charitable organization dedicated to helping dancers make necessary transitions into, within, and from professional performing careers. The DTRC’s goal is to ensure that dancers have the tools they need to reach their potential throughout and beyond their performance career.
